PURCHASER: Končar Power - Transformers Ltd.
TYPE OF DOCUMENTATION: Conceptual design, main and detailed design
DESCRIPTION:
Construction project of a hall for transformer testing for the company Končar Power - Transformers Ltd. in Zagreb represents a significant step in the modernization and expansion of production capacities. The new complex, with a total area of 1353 m², is intended for advanced testing and measurements of large power transformers, reactors, etc., and consists of a hall and an administrative part with a ground floor and two levels.
This complex provides modern working conditions, including office spaces, testing control rooms, and sanitary facilities. Special attention has been given to the specialized grounding system and the extension of the 123 kV high-voltage switchgear, ensuring the highest standards of safety and functionality. The grounding system and electromagnetic interference protection, achived with Faraday cage, guarantee optimal conditions for precise testing and measurements according to the highest standards.
This project represents valuable experience, both in terms of its specificity and complexity, as well as the technology used in the preparation of the project documentation. The application of BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology played a key role in all stages of development, from the conceptual to the detailed design. The project includes architectural design, design of steel and concrete structures, water supply and drainage, heating, cooling, and ventilation, oil distribution, traffic infrastructure, as well as grounding, lightning protection, low voltage distribution, electrical installations and lighting, fire detection, and medium and high voltage facilities and equipment.
The project is an example of how BIM technology can significantly improve efficiency and quality in the construction industry, bringing innovative solutions and ensuring the successful realization of complex projects like the transformer testing hall.
